As the Landscape Contractor for This Old House and Ask This Old House, Jenn Nawada shares creative, practical landscaping solutions with viewers across the country – helping them make their outdoor spaces more beautiful, functional, and sustainable.

Jenn has worked in the landscape design and construction field since 2001 and founded Nawada Landscape Design, Inc. seventeen years ago. Specializing in residential projects, she designs and installs landscapes that are sophisticated, stylish, and environmentally responsible. Her work helps clients discover the full potential of their properties, fostering stronger healthier connections between people and the natural world. Collaborating with some of Boston’s top professional tradespeople, Jenn manages and executes both large and midsize landscape projects from concept to completion

Jenn first joined This Old House in 2010 as the Landscape Designer for the Auburndale project, where she worked alongside Roger Cook to transform the front yard into a welcoming garden. She became a regular on Ask This Old House in 2015 and was named the official Landscape Contractor for This Old House in January 2024.

We are thrilled to welcome Jo Thompson to the Colorado Garden & Home Show as our celebrity guest presenter on February 20th at 4:00 PM & 21st at 2:00 PM.

One of the UK’s most celebrated garden designers, Jo is known for creating beautifully layered, sustainable gardens that feel timeless, romantic, and deeply connected to their surroundings. Her work is guided by what she calls a “gentle intervention,” allowing plants, space, and atmosphere to lead the design rather than overpower it. Renowned for her painterly planting style and masterful use of roses, Jo designs gardens that evoke emotion, balance, and a sense of harmony.

A multi-gold medal winner at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and author of The New Romantic Garden and The Gardener’s Palette, Jo brings a thoughtful, art-driven approach to landscape design that inspires gardeners and designers around the world. Her presentation offers a rare opportunity to hear from one of today’s most influential voices in garden design and to explore how planting can shape not just a garden, but how we feel within it.

Malara Gardens is a family owned garden center/farmers market that has been on the corner of 72nd & Kipling since the 1950's. They start each year off in the spring with a large selection of bedding plants, vegetable and herb starts, hanging baskets, roses and shrubs. They also are Colorado's only Proven Winner Destination Store and strive to carry all the Proven Winner Plants  that do well in our zone.  In July they start bringing in local produce from all over Colorado (Palisade peaches, Grand Junction tomatoes, Brighton and Pueblo green chiles and more). In the fall there is an indoor pumpkin patch and straw bale maze and they end the year with their Christmas tree lot. The goal each year for the owner, Roxie Jr and his staff is to continue doing what they do best: provide the Arvada area with high quality plants, fruit and vegetables along with friendly, helpful service.

Inside the Interior Design Studio, led by TAB Interiors and Trish Bonney, is a brand-new, interactive feature at the Colorado Garden & Home Show that invites guests to explore how great design actually comes together. This isn’t about looking from afar. It’s about touching, asking, discovering, and imagining what’s possible in your own home.

The experience unfolds across three connected spaces.

Design Talks brings design to life through three fully built vignettes, each layered with textures, finishes, and playful details to spot and explore. Guests are encouraged to look closer, interact, and uncover the thoughtful choices that turn rooms into stories.

Style Sessions offers a cozy, welcoming demo and workshop space led by emerging interior designers, covering real-life topics like designing around pets, small spaces, or busy households. These short sessions are approachable, practical, and perfect for anyone craving inspiration without overwhelm.

Rounding it out is the Designers Lounge, a relaxed, no-pressure space where Trish and the TAB Interiors team host a mobile showroom. Here, guests can touch materials, ask questions, explore ideas, and even start the conversation about transforming their own homes.

Tissue Culture Acclimation 101 Class
Learn how to take your new tissue culture plant from the jar to a healthy, thriving plant at one of our workshops! We'll cover understanding the basics of Tissue Culture “TC”, review of basic equipment/supplies needed for successful acclimation, simple acclimation process, cleaning & prep, fungicide & rooting hormone, planting your TC in the best substrate, continuing care & acclimating your TC.
